Trade & media are invited to county-wide tastings on Thursday, April 20. Sonoma County AVAs will feature participating barrel auction wineries and offer the opportunity to preview barrel lots and current release wines.

Alexander Valley, Dry Creek Valley, and Sonoma Valley invite you to join us on April 20th to preview the “never before, never again” lots crafted by our acclaimed vintners and growers. With unprecedented access to the winemakers themselves, you’ll be able to engage and learn more about each hand-crafted lot that will be auctioned the following day. Enjoy light bites catered by Cuvée Wine Country Events, while experiencing the beautiful California weather and picturesque grounds of Landmark Vineyards.

Russian River Valley Winegrowers, Petaluma Gap Winegrowers Alliance, and West Sonoma Coast Vintners invite you to join us for our Barrel Auction Preview event highlighting our members and the lots that will be presented at the Sonoma County Barrel Auction. Taste additional finished wines from our participants, enjoy appetizers provided by Pascaline Fine Catering, and engage in dynamic conversation with over 40 barrel auction wineries.

Winemaker ambassadors for each of the five historically recognized Russian River Valley neighborhoods (Middle Reach, Laguna Ridge, Santa Rosa Plain, Green Valley, and Sebastopol Hills), West Sonoma Coast (Annapolis, Fort Ross-Seaview, and Freestone-Occidental), and Petaluma Gap will pour wines that they have selected to best exemplify the unique character of the area they’ve chosen to represent.

You will have the opportunity to taste and interact with each ambassador and develop a feel for what makes each area special and unique.

Join us as we celebrate our Sonoma County Barrel Auction: Class of 2017 Wine Icons. Our honorees have helped shape the heritage of Sonoma County winemaking and we are honored to celebrate their contributions to our wine community. Enjoy passed appetizers and a historic Sonoma County library wine tasting with featured selections from our honorees and Martin Ray Winery. The Class of 2017 Wine Icons will be announced in April.
