The legendary winemakers of Arista Winery, Benovia Winery and Three Sticks Wines have joined forces to pay tribute to Saralee McClelland Kunde—an icon in Sonoma County. Saralee was a dairy rancher’s daughter who became a grower of prized wine grapes, and an irresistible force for the preservation and innovation in Sonoma County agriculture. Inducted into the Sonoma County Farm Bureau’s Hall of Fame in 2013, Saralee was revered for her devotion to growing impeccable fruit and a “Soil to Glass” vision that is shared by Arista, Benovia and Three Sticks.
Winemakers Matt Courtney, Mike Sullivan and Bob Cabral have carefully crafted this very special Pinot Noir using select Calera Clones from Arista’s Seven Stories Vineyard, Benovia’s Martaella Vineyard and Three Sticks’ Alana Vineyard, combined with Swan Clones from Arista’s Bee Tree Vineyard, Benovia’s Tilton Hill Vineyard and Three Sticks’ Alana Vineyard. It’s a carefully curated lot aged in a Francois Freres French oak barrel—a fitting tribute for its namesake.
A winemaker dinner or store visit is offered as part of this lot. Must be scheduled on a mutually agreeable date and booked within a year of receipt.
