Under the sun in the Valley of the Moon, B.R. Cohn Winery has been making small lot, vineyard designated wines since 1984. B.R. Cohn’s Olive Hill Estate was first planted to Cabernet Sauvignon in 1966, with additional acreage added in 1974. Cabernet Franc, Malbec and Petit Verdot were also added to this unique site over the course of 10 years.
Situated in its own microclimate, the Olive Hill Estate Vineyard rises slightly above the Sonoma Valley floor at a narrow pass between Kenwood and Sonoma, where excellent air circulation keeps vines free from frost, as does the underground warm spring that spans this 55 acre vineyard—a particularly beneficial aspect of the terroir in challenging cool years.
B. R. Cohn Winery is pleased to offer this one and only five-case blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Malbec and Petit Verdot. B.R. Cohn does not offer a commercially-available blend, so this wine is truly one of a kind. In the glass, you’ll discover a full mouthfeel, great tannin structure, deep color and ageability.
A winemaker dinner or store visit is offered as part of this lot. Must be scheduled on a mutually agreeable date and booked within a year of receipt.
