B.R. Cohn Winery, long revered for its exceptional valley-floor Bordeaux vineyard, has sourced this year’s auction lot from the stunning Lookout Ridge Vineyard located at 1,800-feet elevation, above the fog line atop the Mayacamas Mountains. A visually stunning location that offers sweeping views of the Napa and Sonoma Valleys, as well as a peek at the Golden Gate Bridge, the fruit from this lofty growing spot is no less dramatic.
Crafted by Winemaker Glenn Hugo, this one-time-only, five-case lot is predominately Lookout Ridge’s mountain-grown Cabernet Sauvignon (Clone 337) with a splash of the vineyard’s impeccable Syrah (Clone 470) for texture, black fruit flavors and savory notes. Aged in 50% new French oak, this aspirational wine showcases powerful tannins, dark fruit, black currant and cassis flavors, along with a touch of graphite minerality. You will not find another wine quite like this ever again, and it is destined to be a conversation-starting addition to any well-curated collection.
A winemaker dinner or store visit is offered as part of this lot. Must be scheduled on a mutually agreeable date and booked within a year of receipt.
