Dutton-Goldfield Winery began with a handshake in a vineyard in 1998, when longtime colleagues and friends Steve Dutton and Dan Goldfield recognized a shared vision between them: to craft wines that express the personalities of their cool-climate vineyards, and that they would enjoy drinking at their own dinner tables.
The Green Triangle combines their three favorite vineyards from Green Valley of Russian River Valley. Comprised of Fox Den Vineyard, perched atop Stoetz Ridge on the west side, Emerald Ridge Vineyard, in the fog drenched valley to the north side, and Jentoft Vineyard, growing on a gentle slope on the south side, this wine offers a glimpse into the heart of this small growing region. Continuity is created by the Goldridge Sandy Loam soils these vineyards share, while the wine is pulled to new heights by the racy acidity of Fox Den, the classic berry fruit of Emerald and the intense concentration of Jentoft. For the collector who values benchmark Pinot Noir, this wine is destined to be the shining jewel in a thoughtfully-curated cellar.
A winemaker dinner or store visit is offered as part of this lot. Must be scheduled on a mutually agreeable date and booked within a year of receipt.
