A pioneer in the Green Valley appellation since 1976, the Iron Horse family has built an unrivaled legacy of prestige sparkling wines and estate-bottled Chardonnay and Pinot Noir from this singular location.
Iron Horse is best known as a producer/grower of sparkling wines, famously served at the historic Reagan-Gorbachev Summit Meetings in 1985, a moment credited with ending the Cold War. In addition, the White House ushered in the new Millennium with Iron Horse on New Year’s Eve in 1999. Iron Horse wines have also been featured at Supreme Court dinners and State dinners for the Queen of England, the Emperor of Japan and the President of China.
This never before, never again cuvée is a 2014 vintage blend of 72% Pinot Noir and 28% Chardonnay, which was laid down for aging in spring 2015. It will be ready to be disgorged in spring 2019 after four years en tirage and finished with a unique dosage created especially for the successful bidder to their exacting specifications.
