Known for its remarkable climate and growing conditions for distinctive Pinot Noir, Russian River Valley is home to some of the world’s most respected wineries. Established as an American Viticultural Area (AVA) in 1983, Russian River Valley’s sterling reputation as a winemaking region began more than 150 years ago, when grapevines were first planted here.
Each vineyard in the Russian River Valley tells a story of Sonoma County history, and represents the vision of some of our most innovative wine pioneers. Winemakers who choose the Russian River Valley as their nexus have access to exquisite fruits to craft wines with heritage, gravitas and impeccable quality—wines with flavor points and characteristics you won’t find in similar varietals from other regions. Organized into five sub-regions known as “neighborhoods,” each Russian River Valley neighborhood produces wines with unique attributes only found in that unique enclave. The common factor that reigns among all of our neighbors? Exemplary Pinot Noir.
In celebration of the Russian River Valley’s mastery of the notoriously difficult Pinot Noir grape, this lot was designed to highlight the collaborative work of seven of the most experienced winemakers the region. These award-winning winemakers, each one a master in their own right, have more than 267 years of combined winemaking experience—and the resulting wine is the ultimate definition of a never before, never again offering.
A winemaker dinner or store visit is offered as part of this lot. Must be scheduled on a mutually agreeable date and booked within a year of receipt.
