The Sbragia family has a decades-long history with making big, bold and polished high elevation Cabernet Sauvignon; Ed Sbragia developed the Private Reserve label at Beringer, one of the first California cult cabs and passed on the passion for mountain cabernets to his son Adam, now the winemaker at their family winery in Dry Creek Valley. Sbragia Family Vineyards specializes in single vineyard high elevation Cabernet Sauvignon from premium vineyards across multiple AVAs.
This wine is a blend of two of the wineries favorite vineyards, and frankly a wine Adam has always wanted to make. It is dominated by the famed Monte Rosso Vineyard which sits on top of Moon Mountain and evened out with the concentrated, luscious fruit from the Hughes Vineyard on top of Howell Mountain in Napa Valley. Aged for 24 months on 100% new French oak, this wine has the elegance and balance of a Sonoma County Cabernet with complimentary the structure and depth.
A winemaker dinner or store visit is offered as part of this lot. Must be scheduled on a mutually agreeable date and booked within a year of receipt.
