In his second vintage as Silver Oak winemaker, Nate Weis created a one-of-a-kind, 100% Cabernet Sauvignon blend from two sustainably-farmed Alexander Valley estate vineyards—Red Tail and Miraval, as well an outstanding partner grower in Bosworth Vineyard. On the palate, the wine is a seamless expression of Cabernet Sauvignon from a historic California wine region. The wine is aged for 24 months in an American oak barrel coopered at the Duncan Family’s cooperage—The Oak, in Higbee, Missouri.
This Alexander Valley Cabernet Sauvignon is a vibrant, elegant expression of this classic California growing region. It has a deep garnet color and enticing nose of cassis liqueur, blueberry, coulis, tobacco, tarragon and roasted coffee. The seamless palate starts with a vanilla and berry-laden attack, follows with full-bodied mid-palate and ends with a long savory finish with fine-grained, well-integrated tannins.
