Originally planted to grapes in the 1880’s, Patrick Campbell bought the property on Sonoma Mountain in 1977 and in 1981 produced the first vintage of Laurel Glen Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon. In 2011, the 30th anniversary, Bettina Sichel purchased the property. Under her stewardship, Laurel Glen Vineyard is being restored to its former prominence through refinements to the vineyard and the wine. Bettina’s team includes viticulturist Phil Coturri, who is overseeing a transition to organic farming, and winemaking consultant David Ramey. Since its inception in 1981, Laurel Glen Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon has received international acclaim for its exceptional balance, elegance and ability to age gracefully. In 1986, Laurel Glen Counterpoint Cabernet Sauvignon was created, as a more appropriate expression of the earlier-drinking lots from the vineyard. Laurel Glen Vineyard welcomes guests for wine tasting by appointment only. We are located just south of Glen Ellen at the Jack London Village.
